I trained as an existential psychotherapist with Ernesto Spinelli and Emmy van Deurzan at Regents College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, London, achieving a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy, and Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy. I am registered as a psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy, and as a Senior Accredited Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am currently embarking on training in group analysis at the Institue of Group Analysis, London.

I have worked in a variety of roles offering assistance to individuals experiencing difficulty or distress in their lives. I have worked extensively as a psychotherapist with adults both within the private and public sector, predominantly within the NHS, and also for various mental health charities. I have worked in acute psychiatric settings and run staff support groups within residential psychiatric settings also. I have worked as a therapist with university students, high level corporate executives, and have developed and managed my own private practise since 2002. A selection of presenting problems which I work with daily would include, anxiety and depression, addictions and compulsions, self-esteem issues, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, sexual difficulties and problems with intimacy.

I am in on-going supervision for all my work with Anthony Stadlen, an existential therapist with over 30 years of experience.

I also teach psychotherapy and counselling at a number of colleges; Regents College School of Psyhchotherapy, The New School of Psychotherapy, and Matrix College based in Norfolk and Suffolk. I also offer supervision to qualified and trainee therapists.

I work as a psychotherapist within the existential tradition, which takes a philosophical approach to therapy. Existential therapy will clarify your understanding of yourself and your life circumstances. It may also assist you through a specific life crisis and in becoming better at handling difficult relationships. Together we shall explore what matters most deeply to you in life and tackle what is most problematic.
